Accessibility

All the templates of this website have been independently tested to be technically compliant to Level AAA of the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines are the internationally recognised benchmark for building accessible websites. WCAG 2.1 explains how to make websites more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformity to these guidelines also makes websites more user-friendly for all people.

Adapting your experience to your needs

We have made the site as usable as we can, but you might have an even better experience if you change the settings on your computer to suit your individual needs. For example, you might change the site’s colours, increase the text size, or have the site spoken aloud.

For help customising your experience using accessibility features already on your computer, or by installing extra assistive technologies, try this site.

Limitations of this site’s accessibility

We’ve worked hard to make sure that this website is accessible, there are some limitations. Our employers supply the content for their profiles and job descriptions. We make every effort to make sure that these are written in plain English, and do not contain too much jargon or abbreviations, but some may slip through our editorial net.

Exceptions

Whilst video content on the website has both a transcript and captions, it is not currently possible to provide video with audio description nor with British Sign Language interpretation. Clu is a social enterprise, and the costs associated with audio description and British Sign Language interpretation are not affordable for us at this time. We intend to rectify this in the future.

Browser Compatibility

The site has been cross-platform and cross-browser tested and is currently compatible with modern browsers including Microsoft Edge, Brave, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome. We are currently aware of unavoidable comparability issues with Firefox browsers.
